We never knew Utah had so many beautiful parks! We have driven through the Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and astounding Capitol Reef. Capricious sculptures created by nature, so many shades of red, pink and orange, gold and sage and ochre, with intense blue skies and occasional thick angry storm clouds that (fortunately) pass on by. The most noteworthy and impressive were the Escalante Canyons, simply amazing. We finally call a halt to our scurrying in Green River where we will decide whether we want to see Arches National Park or leave it for next time. We are truly exhausted, constantly bombarded by thoughts of pending tasks to be addressed before we leave the country. It's starting to look like this is the end of our trip and we will drive through Colorado without sightseeing.
