Where I stayed
Las Vegas! Though not originally in our plans, here is where we end up spending the night, south of the city in Henderson. The bright lights totally ruin the effect of the full moon! We are exhausted after driving through Death Valley, visually and emotionally drained. Very glad to have chosen that route, each turn brought more amazing images. The old mining towns as we entered Nevada are quaint and very dry, very windy. A detour into the Humboldt-Toyabe Forest was well worth the extra miles. Tomorrow, Arizona and the Grand Canyon via Sedona and Flagstaff...
