Pacific Beach, Washington

We see the ocean! It is foggy as we cruise through the Kalaloch campground on a bluff above the beach, lots of RV's and people just enjoying the view. It is so damp, and so beautiful. The beach is full of tree trunks, brought by rain-swollen rivers over the years and dumped on the coast, bleached bone-dry by the sun and the waves. We drive on to Pacific Beach, and set up camp a few yards from the beach and though it's very misty we go for a long walk. The mist lifts with the breeze just in time for Denise to enjoy her VERY FIRST SUNSET on the Pacific, we toast the occasion with fine wine and go to sleep listening to the waves.
