I thought vacations were about sleeping in and eating a lot... guess not when we got a wake up call at 6am to head off to San Gimignano. We could sleep in but then we would miss our FREE breakfast so we got up and took advantage of ham, cheese, & croissants. We all piled on a bus with Tara & Sean and about 40 other rambunctious folks. Im telling you they are fun and suprisingly love to drink anything. We got to the town of San Gimignano and it was so beautiful, of course Delshad had to take a million photos before we even climbed the hill to the town square (Piazza). We found a underground wine bar where we had an awesome bottle of wine with olives, Georges favorite. After getting a little tipsy we climbed back down the mountain and were off to St. Donato Winery. It was a small family owned winery where the owner named the wine after all his daughters and wife. We got a great tour and sat down to a much needed meal. The olive oil, bread and meats were to die for. Talk about getting the old folks snockered hahaha... After full bellies of wine we headed back to the hotel to get ready for a great night out in Montecatini Alto which was a small town directly above our hotel that we had to reach by tram. The view on the way up was incredible and we had the best meal so far in Italy...
