I guess time flies when you're having fun, even if you’re not doing very much! The last few days we’ve been relatively lazy; enjoying the company of friends and family, watching more of the World Cup and not really achieving much. The grandparents on both sides need to fit a year’s worth of spoiling into the time they have with them and Lauren and Alex put up little resistance! In addition to reveling in the attention and spoils that come from spending time with their English Grandparents, the kids were excited to go to their first birthday party for a cousin, in this case cousin Hannah’s big 5th. They all had a great time.

While we haven’t been blogging quite as much, we’ve been busy making plans and preparations for our next active stages of travel in Europe. Derek and Sarah will head to Barcelona for a few days hoping to watch Spain play their first ever World Cup semi-final (providing they can overcome Paraguay in the quarter-finals) and either party or commiserate with the locals!

Beyond our Spanish adventure, we now have plans to visit Northern Ireland, Morroco, Spain (again), France, Holland or Germany, Denmark, England, Northern Ireland, Ireland and the USA before finally returning to Canada, so please stay with us as we continue on our travels…… Barcelona next...
