As of sometime in early August, Julia and I will be residents of Northfield Mt. Hermon. It's pretty much your standard $50,000/year private high school education type place: Gorgeous manicured lawns, 150 year old brick buildings, and so much acreage it's measured in hectares.
Julia has been assigned as the dorm head of a small (14) girls dorm. It's the white building with the green shutters in the pictures. Bad news: more responsibility for Julia, including nighttime student check-in that occurs after she's usually asleep for an hour. Good news: our own three bedroom apt in the dorm, complete with W/D hookup and a small fenced in yard. Terra is gonna love this place!
Now that we know we'll have room, everyone is officially invited to come visit. I know it seems far, but map it out; we're only ~ 3 hours from the city and ~2 or so from Boston. In the winter, it's an hour and a half to Mt. Snow and there are XC ski trails right on campus.
On to Chichester, NH,
