We headed inland, to check out Carnavon Gorge, which was highly reccomended by Lach's uncle Mike. We loved it, the camp ground alone was gorgeous, we arrived on Saturday and were told we had to be out by Monday, the camp ground shuts for maitenance. We made the most of it, alot of the area involves long walks, so we did a couple of shorter ones with the kids and had a picnic and a swim in the rockpool. Lach did a longer jog into the Moss garden, which he said was amazing.
We have added a couple of new camping items, a massive tarp (which we have noticed most other people have) and considering we always get rain, we though it would be useful, it is also good for shading the tent and protecting it. We also got a pop up fly tent, which we can all sleep in when we get into the hot nights. You can see in the photos we used both of these, and of course it rained, and Saxon suggested we put the blue tarp on the fly dome, so I wouldn't get wet cooking in there, it wasn't cold and we all ate dinner in the fly dome, happy that our tent wasn't getting wet.
We left with a plan on where we would go next. When we pack up we time how long it takes, this pack up, with more gear was our fastest yet, 1 hour 40 mins!.
