After a 6 month break.... Oooh I know a long break I'm back to updating my travel blog. I have about 4 trips to add on. :)
Lets start with my trip to  our capital Washington DC. Well one of my best friends from school Namita lives in the suburbs of DC: Herndon, VA. So we planned a trip where I could visit her and my sweet friend would take me around to see the city. So come ThanksGiving vacation and I was DC bound. Hugs and lots of chatting the first day. She made me some wonderful Indian food that day and through out my stay! The sight-seeing begins the next day.
Washiongton DC is an amazing city needless to say an absolute fest for art, culture and history. It was a little overwhelming. We had 3 days for sightseeing we planned what exactly we wanted to see.

Day2: We took the metro and we were Capitol bound. Woo. Taking the metro is an experience by itself for me . The temperature was in late 40s (not bad for DC weather). We covered the Capitol, the reflecting pool. We walked quite a bit and saw a lot of kool historic places. Beautiful fall colors too.

Day3:  Wahington Monument, Whitehouse. I was totally amazed at the number of people at the whitehouse  aka visitors, from all over the world. We met a few French guys who exchanged pictures with us. It felt very global and kool. Lots of fun lots of laughter!  Namita: When you read this recall the "Call me may be" episode :).

Day4: Smithsonian. Period.
UH-MAZING = American museum of natural history, American museum of Art. It took us all day to cover those.

Day5 : We were home watching movies all day, eating great food and chilling.

And the next day, it was time to big goodbye to my dear friend Namita and  Washington DC. It was a trip of fond memories and fun times!

Cheers,
D
