The long awaited Tiger Jam is on for tonight at Mandalay Bay!! This is the one everybody has been waiting for. It is going to be an exciting evening because David is opening for Bon Jovi, and it is rumored that he will sing 7 or 8 songs! This is quite a different venue for him, and sources close to me have indicated that David will 'rock it out" tonight. I'm also a very big fan of Jon Bon Jovi, so it will be an awesome evening for sure...........much to do before the concert starts, so do check in soon....:-)

And here's what you missed....................

We arrived at Mandalay Bay around 7:00 pm (doors opened @ 7:30) there was a very large crowd already assembled in the lobby outside the Convention Center. When the doors opened the fans moved along at a good pace, and we were in our seats by 8:00 pm. Drinks were not permitted through the gates, so many people had to leave their glasses at the entrance ....bummer! Once inside the venue drink were available at the concession. I paid $ 10.00 for a small cocktail!! YIKES!Needless to say.....I retained my composure throughout the evening!

A capacity crowd of almost 8000 fans showed up tonight to see Bon Jovi & David Cook. I talked to several people in the lobby and on the floor, many fans of BJ.......but also lots of DC fans, so a little too close to call. The acoustics in the arena were amazing, and I enjoyed the entire show.My only disappointment was with my camera, which had "flash issues" :-(
The good news is there are hundreds of really good photos on the DCO website :-)
Below is David's playlist from tonight........

Circadian
Heroes (w/Champagne Supernova)
Come Back to Me
Declaration
Rock and Roll / Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin covers)
Bar-ba-sol
Light On
Fade Into Me (acoustic)
...

It is no secret that I am the big Bon Jovi fan in this crowd (of two) Here is the playlist from tonight:

We didn't get to see Bon Jovi perform the last 3 songs in the set because earlier on in the day Marla booked an appointment at the Las Vegas Stratosphere so she could jump off a 108 story structure!!!  http://www.stratospherehotel.com/tower/rides.

You can't imagine how high up this jump zone is!! I got dizzy just watching from below. Marla is a bit of an "adrenelin junkie" so this was a big thrill for her, and a fitting way to end an amazing sister weekend.............

Here she is at the bottom! A 40 second rush, falling at about 40 miles per hour...then landing on the bullseye. I was quite nauseous just watching her way up there from my chair below.I took this picture of her just after she jumped............she is that tiny blue dot !!

Lucky for us, the Monorail was running until 3:00 am.......which is about the time we returned from the far end of the LV strip. We were both starving when we returned back to the hotel, and could not find any restaurants that were open at that time :-(
We settled for a bottle of wine & a bag of chips, and sat up for another couple hours, still buzzing from the exciting evening we had.
Almost time now to get ready to start our journey home to B.C...........This has been the BEST time I have ever spent with my sister Marla, and I can't wait until we do it again!! Maybe next year I will get up enough nerve to ride the roller coaster at New York, New York...hmmm. So until that time.......remember this............
