Today we had any early breakfast in the Hotel La Estelita dining room. This hotel is truly amazing, perched way up high almost at the top of a mountain. It looks over the entire city of Ibarra (on a clear day) Fresh coffee, warm fresh baked rolls and homemade jam, and a different breakfast everyday:-)

Our team assembled in the parking lot so we could be shuttled down the mountain to the Ibarra fire station.

This is a perfect location for our 3 day spay & neuter clinic. We have separate areas for surgery and recovery, and a large covered courtyard for the local people and pets to gather. Today we are expecting up to 75 surgeries. There are many different sizes of dogs and a few cats today...........

We had a good start to our 3 day field service project. We performed 70 surgeries today, and were all very pleased with our efforts overall!. A long hot shower was especially nice after being at the fire station for 12 hours!! The best thing is, ...... we get to get up tomorrow and do it all again :-)
