Nicaragua is such a diverse country with plenty to see on both the Pacific and Caribbean. Since Ross and I have traveled to Nicaragua, we have only explored the Pacific coast. We have been to several of the popular beaches, and we are frequently "blown away" by the sheer beauty of this amazing country. We were talking the other day about where Ross would like to celebrate his birthday next month. There were a number of great suggestions, however we (he) finally decided on the Corn Islands.

This is a picture of the beach on Little Corn Island.Looks very tropical, beautiful white sandy beach

I put a link at the top of this page, so you can check out these two little Caribbean Islands, off the East coast of Nicaragua. Two small commuter planes leave Managua twice a day, and the flight to Big Corn Island takes a little over an hour. Once there, you need to take a short boat trip across open ocean to reach Little Corn Island.Hopefully, we plan to stay at Casa Canada on Big Corn Island with two other couples joining us for 4 days! Ross is really excited about this trip because he will finally be able to go  scuba diving !!                                                                 http://www.organizedchaostech.com/casacanada/

We are just on our way out the door to go up to Pelican Eye's for our Monday morning aerobics class, led by our very own "pool Nazi'.........Renda (just kidding) she is great at motivating us to shape up three times a week.!!

I will report back later on today.........................maybe???

Ross is going scuba diving! Really?? Does he have his certification? Well good for him... You don't mean snorkeling do you? Entirely different kettle of fish so to speak.... What about you? Are you going to take a scuba course? You'd probably love it and its something the two of you can do together - umm in addition to that "other" activity you both seem to be STILL doing a lot of! Hehehehe.

Well yes Ross is a "certified" diver. Always carries his diving card where ever he goes! As for me, nope! I suffer from extreme claustrophobia so it will never ,ever be an option for me.I did snorkel in Mexico, but I drifted out into the Gulf and almost got swept out to sea!!.These days I just take the pictures, and stay out of the ocean! As for the "other stuff" we do together, yeah that STILL works for me, hahaha!
