Ya I know, life is really tough living in a tiny little fishing village in Southern Nicaragua, but seriously folks, since we arrived here almost 3 weeks ago, Ross and I have been on the go 24/7. I was all set to go sailing again at 9:00 am this morning with Ralph and several guests from the hotel. I had to decline however, as I needed a day to "recoup". My ride yesterday to Playa Yankee was so spectacular, that I have found I need to just chill out for a day or so.
Then about 9:30 after the gang had set sail for the beach up the north coast, Ross and I opted for a day of pampering at the hotel. Renda called up Erica, who came to the balcony and gave us pedicures and manicures while we watched the boats go by.If you come to San Juan del Sur you must have this done on a weekly basis!! Wearing flip flops and walking on the sandy beach all day is "murder" on your tootsie's!!
Ya I know..........again....."poor me". The best part about this is you get probably THE BEST pedicure you have ever had ( average time spent on your feet 1 & 1/2 hours !!) I'm serious, well Ross's feet were over 2 hours, and a belt sander was deployed! All of that costs pennies compared to North American prices. Today's total for my French manicure and pedicure was $ 15.00 U.S!! Good grief, I am expected to TIP that much in Vancouver. So as you are probably beginning to see by my frequent blog posts, Nicaragua is a "No Brainer". !!
It's almost time to "toast the sunset", and then head up to Villa's de Palermo for dinner. I will return again tomorrow...............
