Well actually the games have been underway for almost two weeks, and I must say we are so very proud of our Country, and our home town of Vancouver.Tomorrow is the last day and the closing ceremonies, but more importantly it is ROSS"S FIFTY FIRST BIRTHDAY!! whoooHoo!
In the time we have been here in SJdS we have eaten at many one of a kind fabulous restaurants, but one of the best, and most memorable dinners was the one we had here at Park Avenue Villa's a couple weeks ago.So when I asked Ross where he wanted to have his Bday dinner, he said he would prefer to have his celebration here, with all of our good friends we have met.
Since I am the chief cook, and bottle washer, it was decided that we would bbq some different meats and fish.So this morning just after the fishing boats came in Ross and I walked down to the dock to pick up some fresh seafood for tomorrow. Now for those who have never experienced the SJdS dock experience,I must recommend it if you stay here for a while. Today we got 2 lbs of jumbo shrimp, and 2 lbs of tuna, so fresh, it was still 'flippin" when the fish monger fileted it!!
All this for only $ 20.00.
Later today we will travel to Pali (5 min. drive) It is owned by Walmart. There I will get all the supplies i need to make some salads for the dinner, We also have a local baker making Ross'a birthday cake, and it should be delivered tomorrow.
I am on a mission this morning, but please do check back later and I should have a few pix to post as well!

Well, I will send my personal felicitations to Ross man tomorrow on the actual birthday - so he's 51-der-ful is he!! Nice.... He certainly is well preserved for one of his advanced years I must say! But on more serious note, someone just told me there was a huge quake (8.8) off the coast of Chile overnight and now there is a tsunami warning for Hawaii.... Just wanted you to be aware in case there is any danger to your shores - head for high ground if there is, just in case!!! Let me know that all is well okay?
I hope this works....

If this does NOT work - I am sending the link to Ross' email address, hope he receives it there - if not - lemme know! and I will try something else!
He hasn't viewed it yet, but it is in his inbox, so yeah it worked. I am sure he will email you when he reads it.
We had a hot drive to Managua. Sorry we did not get to say adios to everyone. Our best to all. It was wonderful meeting everyone and sharing a bit of paradise with you. Felix compleanos to Ross. I hope we stay in touch.
Best, Connie & chip
