I don't know where the last two weeks have gone, but here it is the 14th of Feb already. We are really glad we decided to stay for 6 weeksWe still have a month to go, and lots to see. Tonight there are several different Valentine's Day celebrations around the town. We are going to the Bambu Beach Club with Ralph and Renda tonight. It is a really nice restaurant right on the north end of the beach, and tonight each couple receives a complimentary bottle of champagne with dinner.Later on after dinner there is a kissing contest at the Pier bar.May swing by to have a look see, but doubt there will be any danger of us entering that one!!
Also an important development for the town of SJDS has begun! This town has been suffering from drought like conditions for a few months now.Normally it rains here the entire month of October, however they received no rain at all, so water here is getting low.The city crews have begun digging trenches and laying water pipes.A continuous source of fresh water will be pumped ibnto the city from Lake Nicaragua. When it is completed, lack of water will not be a problem.

Feliz dia de San Valentin - Senor Ross and Senorita Deedle.... Hope you guys have a a good one - and hoist a few for me..... back here in the land of (no snow and ice)....
WTF are you not entering the kissing contest! Come on, you guys are old but you're not DEAD! lol
I miss you, mom.....have fun, but come home soon!
Ok, so here's the thing about that. You are correct, old but not dead is true, however we could not compete with the two girls who won! There were tongues and nipples flying!
It was mainly young guys doing the voting,so you know the popular vote had to go to the girls. We missed it cuz it was close to mignight and we had left, but I can only imagine!!
Deedledee, my wife and I are coming down to SJDS on March 4th for about 8 days... we were wondering if we could pick your brain a bit about the city (she's a worrier)... places to eat, things to do, logistical stuff. Let me know - thank you!
