So we've decided to take the room...but we need a few things.
There's a market in Nelson every Sunday which is a bit like a car boot and farmers market combined, so we headed to it to see if we could grabs a few bargains.
We managed to get a flask for 50c, a cooler bag for our lunches for $1 and a can opener for $1. There's a shop in Nelson called Briscoes which always has a sale on. We managed to get a duvet for $15 and a sharp knife for Darren in the kitchen.
Then we headed to The Warehouse which is a bit like a Matalan. Here we got a duvet cover for $12 and a blanket for $10 and a wok for $20.
We still need a few things, but think we'll be OK for a week or so.
We did get a call from our friend Aika who has decided to pick apples today. we did have the choice of joining him, but we thought it would have been counter productive as we were knackered and had stuff to do. We went to see him as he was super fast...but the trees he is picking from are tiny compared to the ones we've been picking from. I think we'd be quicker too if the trees were that small!!
On Monday straight after work we headed to the local recycle centre, people donate stuff and, then they re-sell it. For $10 we got a 2 chopping boards, 2 trays, a cup, a teaspoon, a 3 tier shelving thing for a bed side table for me, and some kitchen utensils. Bargain.
