The rain seemed to be following us around now so we carried on down to Sabang to visit the worldfamous subterranean river - currently 2nd in the running for the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World (results are out later this year!)We spent another night trying to keep smiling through the rain and went to see the river early the next morning. Once you got over the smell of bat excrement as you entered the cave, it was a pretty amazing trip. I even managed to keep my fear of bats under control (the roof of the caves were covered in them and the boatman kept reminding us to keep our mouths closed when looking up just in case a little unwanted present from the bats fell in...!)
