Travel distance: 547 miles
Trip duration: 9:37
Arrival time: 5:18

Total miles traveled so far on this trip: 3692

Best: Hwy #82

Worst: Tied with Missing Hells Canyon and being awoken by trains!

Unexpected:  The Town of Joseph

The drive from Joseph was also beautiful.  I am so amazed that we have seen so many areas that were not populated and have been left in their natural habitat.  From Iowa, to Nebraska (no, Nebraska was lifeless), to Wyoming, to Utah, to Idaho (although we found the towns to be dumpy and a lot of junk piled around dumpy looking houses- and lots of contained cow farms- which the kids wouldn't take pictures of for me--they are fired), to Oregon.

On Hwy #84, which Oregon does not list as a scenic drive, we stopped at an overlook.  They had a sign that told of how Oregon has 3500 miles of scenic hwys and they have removed many road signs that obstruct the view.  Wish they did that everywhere.  This hwy was one of my faves. favorite views so far.

Cascade locks was not our favorite campground.  The bathrooms smelled and the sites seemed right on top of each other.  I found out in the middle of the night that the trains pass by about every half hour--loud and they shake the cabin.

Grace was talking very intimately with a boy on the playground.  She's nine.  It's starting already...I though I had a few more years!

We had a very difficult time trying to find somewhere to eat.  Three restaurants.  None really kid friendly.  We settled on a diner.

They had a fair down at the waterfront park.  Nothing there.  Same useless stuff we can buy at our fairs.

My car needs a bath REAL bad!
