The drive was good.  I did have to pull over at a Dairy Queen about 8 hours into the trip, as I was getting tired.  Slept for ten minutes and had an ice cream--sugar high got me through the rest of the drive.

Trip Duration: 11:21
Miles Covered: 796
Arrival Time: 3:31 (Mountain time)

As we drove through Iowa, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't a flat state with nothing but corn and wheat.  It was really beautiful.  The hills were rolling with different shades of green and different textures. Farms were scattered on hillsides in the distance.   I was also sad to see all of the corn that I am sure is the Monsanto GMO corn.  Such a beautiful state.  So sad that they are ruining it with the corn.

Nebraska was quite uneventful.  It was flat and boring (except for the dairy queen).  We did see one of the cow farms where the cows were closed in with no grass- only mud and the stench of their own manure.  We smelled it in our car for awhile. It was disgusting.

We are hoping to see the wild Mustangs tomorrow on our way to Boise.  It will most likely not happen, as we are to "check the scenery" while we are driving.  Kelly has high hopes on this.

Best Thing:

Worst Thing: Had a close call with a Charger of all cars!  I was in the passing lane (Thank God! a safe distance from the other passers in front of me)  The Charger jerk decided to make a u-turn.  Only problem, he STOPPED in the passing lane- apparantly no blinker, no pulling off to the shoulder-just STOPPED.  Some people shouldn't have Chargers or licenses (Keep your comments to yourself)

Unexpected: Iowa was beautiful.  I expected it to just be flat, with corn and wheat.
