We started out earlier than usual, just a few of us for the day. Segesta was billed as one of the spectacular places to visit. The review was not far off. Although there is only one temple, standing, it is fully standing. A tribute to the fact that the Segestians aligned themselves with the right forces in their assault on Selinunte which was left in ruins. The temple was beautiful. Although the floor was rough as though it was unfinished, just standing in a complete temple is amazing! The view wasn't bad either.

Then we took the bus up the hill to the Greek Theatre. We were told we could walk but decided to use the bus to save time. We almost didn't go as our time was growing short...I mean, how many Greek Theatres does one need to see on one trip? Well, I'm glad Tom and I made the effort. The Theatre was nearly intact and the view...well, I know pictures don't do it justice but it would have been awesome to see a play there!

After wandering around the Greek Theatre we walked down the hill to our tour bus. The view of the temple was worth the effort and the walk!

Off to Erice!!!
