Today we ate breakfast at 8 am. Early this morning we had a visitor. Pi Nook brought her 4-month old little girl to see us.  Last year at this time we attended Pi Nook's wedding. This year we got to celebrate her baby. She was so cute. We bought her an outfit with a matching shirt, pants, socks and bib. Of course she was wearing it when she arrived. I thought I had gotten it pretty big but she can wear it now. I am so glad that I got to hold her. She was smiling and cooperating with the camera.

Nam Jai came to see us this morning. She went home last night and drew a portrait of our granddaughter, Angel (Pawn Sawan). Oh, it is so beautiful. She does not know it but I had a portrait drawn of all 3 of my girls when they were younger. Now, I can hang this portrait with her mother’s portrait.

We are going to the Psychiatric Hospital this morning and the Huai Hong Khrai Royal Development Study Center this afternoon. My "sick" student is still not better and is having a hard time sleeping d/t a persistent cough so she and I are staying back at the dorm today. So, Greg is going to accompany the students on their activities. I do not know what I would do without him. He has been extremely helpful throughout the trip. I can only be one place at a time so it is very reassuring to know that the student group has an American leader with them.

I have requested Amoxicillin and cough medicine with codeine so we can start to get my student better.  She cannot have a fever on our return trip home or they might quarantine her. When we go through the Korean airport they have a scanning device that measures body temperature. Your body is displayed on a computer screen and your body appears in various colors depending on your body temperature. So, there is no way to get her through except if we give her Tylenol before we go through the checkpoint. She has had a low-grade fever but I am hoping that it will be under control shortly.

The amoxicillin has arrived and has been started. We are still waiting for the cough medicine. At least my student is able to get some rest today.

Tonight Aj Maew is to join us again along with 11 students from BCN in Uttaradit (BCNU). We were to leave BCNC in the morning and travel to the Campat Ban MeaKai to serve as health-volunteers. This is an area that has been hit hard by disaster; floods. We were going to spend Saturday and Sunday working to help the people recover from the disaster. But, the plan was cancelled on Wednesday. The monk that came from Bangkok and visited Maegumpong on Wednesday will be visiting this village on the weekend. So, they must prepare for the big celebration on Saturday and have the ceremony on Sunday. So, we are going to be working locally with the orphans and the elderly. I am not sure yet what we will be doing but I am sure we will enjoy it.

I forgot to mention that the other day while the students were shopping, they saw a famous Thai actor. The Thai buddies were so excited. They asked him if they could get a picture with him and he said, “Yes”. So, now all of the students have a picture with a famous Thai actor. The funny thing is, the Thai buddies did not know his name.
