Today is a rest day and as usual we have spent a bit of time this afternoon on the blog. Other than John trying his first pork pie we have just had a lazy quiet day and are preparing ourselves for tomorrow's effort.
Today also we regret not being in Melbourne with dear friend Peter Homann whose mother's funeral is being held. Peter our thoughts are with you.

Hi darlings,
what a treat for you to share your adventure with Kate and John! We had the pleasure of meeting up with Tom and Meg in Firenze for mothers day and the returned to 'our' village Greve in Chianti in Italy for a week of exploring BY CAR the beautiful countryside. Best Mothers day gift I have ever had.
Love to share your stories, have lots to share with you... steven is engaged and will marry his darling Elisa next year! We are so happy for them, they are so lovely together and we love elisa and her family and are thrilled to have them in our family.
spending my day tommorrow with my kindergarten children and their families in an Exhibition of their art showcasing their talents and skills bellissime.
I have loved to hear about your adventure and look forward to the slideshows of your beautiful-selves and wonderful scenery.
Love you both and your energy
Ciao,(oh by the way I am taking Italian language classes in Carlton each week so look out my comments may be in Italian by the time you reach Lands End!!! )
