From my friend, Adam, this truly fun website: Ten Best Ghost Photographs Ever!

Well, I guess we are leaving today. Not good fishing, so no reason to stay. We'll go look for my waders and survey the fire damage, and then head out...

Really strange incident last night. Keep in mind I spent all day in the trailer, most of it with no radio on, so if this had happened earlier in the day, I think I would have heard it, but I didn't.

Shortly after Chris returned from his less than fruitful fishing expedition, I was making him a cup of coffee when I distinctly heard a meow. Just one. I turned to Chris and he remarked, "sounds like a kitty." I open the door, look out and there is this smallish Siamese Orange tabby cross cat staring at me with big blue Siamese eyes. Hard to tell how old, could be young or could be small bodied. Have you ever talked to a Siamese? Good Lord they can talk!!! Meow, meow meow. Loud!!!! So I just keep chatting back as I opened a can of food I have in the closet near the door, but the bowls were in the truck. I went to get them and this little guy just keeps on howling but doesn't run away. Got him set up with wet and dry, and sat fairly close as he chowed down on the wet. He wasn't skinny, but he was eating as if he hadn't eaten in awhile. I gave him a second can, which he made it halfway through before he started to slow down. He ran off towards these cabins, under which I am sure he is very warm. For now. Not sure how cats do out here in the Winter. Not sure if he belongs to the owners of the place or was left behind by a previous visitor. Had he let me get any closer, I would have probably tried to catch him - we don't have a Siamese!! ;-) I'm KIDDING!

But it was really bizarre... I guess he knew the Cat Lady lived inside and that there was a free meal in it for him if he "knocked" on the door loudly enough... No sign of him since - maybe he'll show up for breakfast.

Sorry there are no new pictures - we've been working on getting the blad done and haven't gotten around to downloading the recent stuff.

See you in a few...

Things we LOVE
