I just have to say that people are REALLY stupid down here... and I don't know if the areas west of Biloxi will ever fully recover. Gulfport is a tourist town much like Daytona, only smaller. It was all about the beaches. Well, it's Labor Day Weekend and the beaches were empty. I know what Labor Day Weekend at the beach looks like and this was not it! But, believe it or not, there were actually a few idiots who, regardless of the very scary "Storm Debris in Water. Do Not Enter." signs, were actually in the water...

Do you think they don't know there were 175 bodies floating just offshore that were never recovered?!?! Do they know but don't care??? Or is just that a year has passed and they've gotten over it?? How do you get over something like that? My guess is that these were not locals out in that water, which, btw, Chris said smells alarmingly like raw sewage... ugh! I, on the other hand, sat a safe distance from the water.

We got up this morning before sunrise and went to find the good morning light... We found it, a gorgeous sunrise, and fishing too!!!

Chris caught 3 fish, threw 'em back like he always does, and then immediately Purelle'd his hands...

Our next stop was a casino for breakfast. I've never been to a casino - not in Atlantic City, not in Vegas, not in Biloxi, until this morning. We were, btw, under orders from our lawyer, Edward Greenberg, who is more than a little intimate with gambling but not houses of ill repute, to spend a few dollars at the Casinos to show our support. Stupid slot machines - I just didn't have that ol' magic, I guess. But we did our part to support the primary industry of Biloxi, MS.

By the way, here are the cats in danger of being shot or poisoned:

Slots are evil
While admitting that I did win $500 at a slot machine once in Vegas, slots are still evil.

And apparently my mojo ran out as I lost for the first ever time in Vegas. Not much, I knew enough to give up before losing much, but still, I've never lost in Vegas.

Let me know when you are going to be in Vegas. Maybe I'll fly out to meet you.

Kitty No. 5
Interesting kitty, according to the tail it looks like a Maine Coon. I agree with Pop, keep washing!
