hi!!! first time we've had internet and we have no signal out here! we
are having an AMAZING time! so so beautiful! we had
one night on the 'party island' where we met a couple people and it was
really busy and loud and drunk that night but we had just flown and been up forever etc so were quite tired!
the island was literally a sand island with some trees in the middle
where the accommodation was. we slept in a huge dorm of about 50 bunk
beds! was huge! then we headed off to another island about 5 hours away
with a few people we met. it was a much smaller resort and me and dean
got a private room there so we could chill out! it was nice but shira was
sick the second day all day - felt nauseas so stayed in bed all day and
it was gone by the morning. we later found out that another lady had
heard that people had gotten sick on that island from the food! typical shira did! we stayed there two nights and went over to the island oppposite
where they filmed blue lagoon and we snorkelled. it was lovely and saw
some nice corals and lots of fish. dean saw a huge black and white
water snake then swam away and shouted to me that it was near me ( I was about 100 metres away when i shouted ha ha)! then
yesteray we came to another island which we heard was really nice - and
it is! it is less backpackers and more resort - families and wealthy
people are here!! we are staying in a dorm again but this time it is
only 4 people and me and dean have a double bed and then there are two
girls in single beds around us! a bit weird but nice nontheless! we
have a mosquito net around the bed too which is nice! we havent been
bitten too much - just a few here and there but other people are
covered so we have been lucky! we went kayaking this morning and just
had lunch. you get to choose off a menu here whereas the last places we
were at we were given set food namely rice and noodles and coleslaw!
wasnt the best.  dean was happy to have a meaty burger today!  dinner
was a 3 course meal too - brownies for dessert!  tomorrow we head off to
our last island. we havent chosen which one yet. then we're having a
night on  the mainland before we fly to NZ. we got in touch with deans
family (Bobby) and are staying with them after auckland.  we are having a really
good time. so weird to be out in the paradise when everyone else is
back at home! its incredible!
