Remember Twilight: New Moon (for those who are too ashamed to admit they've watched it)? Well the city that Bella travels to in order to "save" Edward is called Volterra and it's actually quite close to San Gimignano; however, my main reason for mentioning this is that the city looks quite similar in many aspects.

My visit to San Gimignano was short and the heat was sweltering. The city itself is an old, medieval hill town that's very cute, if you will. I also tasted some of the most delicious gelato I've had since being in Italy for over 3 months. I traveled with my school mates to this small town and had a relatively limited amount of time to explore. There's not much to say except I saw multiple naked, wooden statues awkwardly placed around the city.
