Salt. Lots of it!

With more white stuff than you can shack a stick sure its unique in terms of vistas and lovely to look at but the questions remains how can you have fun on it. Answer: lots of weird photos.

So, cameras out. Friends recruited to pull the trigger and off we went. See results below.

After visiting one of the (if not the) largest salt flats in the world it was off to the desert (one of the highest in the world...). We drove thru miles of epic red rock scenery and formations and got up close and personal with pink flamingos. Lovely birds if not a tad shy.

Great starscapes throw in along with the freezing nightly temperatures. There  were some geezers to gawp at (not not the London kind!) and one of nicest hot springs weve been too - purely on the basis that its the first I can remember that doesnt sink in some way of sulfur!

After three days of whizzing round in the 4x4 it was good to be back to change to our next mode of transport. A train that meanders through the picturesque Bolivian countryside to north Argentina. Far more civilised even if we set off at 3am!

Chris and Debs on

Hey guys, love the Uyuni photos - very cool. We unfortunately were not able to get ones like that. Hope NZ is going great and all is good with the campervan. The bikes are plodding on still, and about 10 days away from Iguassu Falls, very excited. Take care guys.
