After the long flights, we finally landed at 6am.  Not knowing ahead of time, but in Dulles, passengers are split up into those continuing on in the U.S. and those whose final destination is D.C.  We had to quickly say goodbye to JB and Lindsey as we each had to enter a different bus to head to customs.

Customs was quick and painless (I don't think they actually check any Americans on a flight from Africa).  We proceeded to the Alamo desk to get our rental car as this was the easiest way to get back to Philly.  We stopped in Harrisburg to pick up our dog, Hannah.  After lunch with my parents, we continued on to Philly, stopping in Wayne to drop off gifts to my brother and sister-in-law.  Finally made it home at 2pm.  Amy managed to stay awake until 2:15 until she passed out for the night.  I tried to stay awake till at least 8 or 9 to get back on schedule.  Instead I woke up on the couch at midnight and moved to the bedroom.  It was an excellent vacation and I would not have changed a thing.

If you made it this far (I would be very impressed that you have listened to me babble for this long) and want to see more pictures with descriptions, follow this link to Amy's kodak gallery page

I absolutely LOVED every word of your blog. We are doing almost the same trip this coming August and now I'm more excited than ever.

In your next life, you should write a travel book! I was in hysterics while reading and felt like I was along for the ride with you guys....although I don't think your car would have allowed for one more passenger! Glad you had a great time!

Impaaaaaallllllaaaaaaaa!
