Of course it wasn't long before we had to find a side bathroom trail, which Lynn took advantage of as I served as" look-out".
Actually, the trail was very busy, with all ages from all over the world, hiking the canyon on this glorious Thanksgiving Day. We even met one of the mules, who earlier had taken supplies to Phantom Ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon...and of course we were eager to get out of his way on the mountain side of the trail.
After breakfast in the lodge, we headed for the canyon on a cool and beautiful morning. We hiked several hours down the Bright Angel trail, where we met people from throughout the world...some "real hikers" and some in flip-flops, with no intentions of doing much more than taking a mere stroll.
