finally! a place on Samui that i really like!
we have moved to the very northern tip of the island to a place called buphet beach, which is also called the fishermans village....it is not really a village, but all the same i really like it!
we arrived at our hotel and firs impressions were great, nice little pool, lovely airy seating areas, nice room, although it is bright yellow, so feels a bit like being in the womb of a banana.also the hotel has monekys everywhere...so clearly i love it.
we headed straight out to explore (eat), and instantly liked the place, it still has a few of the tacky shops that chaweng had, but very few in comparison, this place feels sleepy and relaxed. the beach is a little narrow but mostly quiet, unlike in chaweng where every inch was full of stuff being sold and fat westerners in tiny bikinis getting massages. the main street is on the beach so all the bars have a beach side seating area, we choose one that was playing really bad, but brilliant 70's and 80's cheesy rock and pop, we were both just feeling so happy!
after stuffing our faces and laughing at lots of pointless things, we walked back along the beach, then we came and splashed about in the pool and sunbathed, i am determined to get some sort of tan, i'm still pretty pale considering the 9 weeks i've been gone.
we had sunshine today, our first in about a week, another thing for us to smile about!
we are about to head out for dinner, drunks and a good card playing session.
so happy i have found somewhere i like on this island!

Don't you like this place enough to jump? I expect the most epic jumping pictures ever!
Did you know that you are very close to a monkey sanctuary???
