I was going to wait to send photos from this stop, but i couldn't put it off youŽll see why. I will update this entry with more story and photos as they occur here are a few for now. The chicken bus was a trip, after dealing with the embassy this morning I took a taxi to the bus station to get to Lake Atitlan. There was just a few of us at the station when we got on the bus after watching it get detailed for a good 35min we were told to lay down in the seats below the window line out of sight for 10mins because of something to do with the police, I'm thinking either there is some type of taxi/tourist transit law that only allows these buses to pick people up off of the streets, or they don't want us to see where they are taking us to mug us or whatever!! after the first stop on the street we were able to sit up I really like the chicken buses they have style, a little crazy with the passing at what seems to be only the blind spots!! but it is the local way of getting around.
