First, I forgot to tell you about the great family who sat behind me at the Oakland A's game. They were an Hispanic family with father, mother, son who was about 5 and daughter who was about 3, and grandma and grandpa as well. The father was extremely knowledgeable about baseball, the Oakland A's and especially the ballpark which helped my understanding of the place a great deal. We carried on an almost constant conversation during the game...sorry for anyone sitting around us. He's computer programmer in silicon valley out here. Great guy.
And his 5-year old son was the recepient of the baseball. He was always trying to get one of the players to throw him one, but he never got one. Well, he's got one now.
I also have updated some pictures from my trip.
Going 2-2 on my first West Coast Swing, I am now 14-10 for the home teams. Need one more win to be at least .500 overall.
Off again on Thursday to SF.
