Morning spent in an ecological reserve on what was the old city land fill site, right next the new Puerto Madeno district. Weather really warm and people jogging or rollerblading everywhere - I managed to end up a bit red. Lots of different plants and trees compared to Europe in the park and a very lazy Monitor Lizard (about 2 foot long) just sunbathing by the main path. The reserve was along the banks of the Rio de La Plata, although it felt like it was actually on the coast as the river is so wide that you can't see any sign of the other side and container ships sail up and down it!
In the afternoon, walked across the city through Retiro and Recoleta to Palmero, all quite wealthy areas with lots of parks full of people sun bathing and relaxing and more monuments and statues than imaginable. Couple of drinks in Palmero Soho, the main evening area in the north of the City and then home (managing to negotiate the bus system as the subway closes early on a Sunday evening).
