Being in the UK for such a short space of time and trying to fit in seeing everyone isn't easy, especially when you're a lazy bastard like me. Fortunately, our return to these shores co-incided with Matt's 30th birthday. You'd never guess he was younger than me, but I suppose he has had a very traumatic life. He's known me for 11 years now, and that's enough to age anyone!
A good weekend was had by all, and involved lots and lots of drinking at ridiculously expensive prices. The haggling process so often used in other parts of the globe wasn't a viable option unless I wanted to be thrown out, so I decided to forget about it by getting very, very drunk. This, I managed successfully, so many of my discussions from the night will sadly remain forgotten. But I do remember meeting some nice people.
The best thing about it was getting to catch up with all the Bronte Hall boys - possibly the first get-together for all of us for 4 or 5 years, maybe even more.... some even brought the wives along, and some of them have done quite well for a bunch of poorly-educated, ugly buggers. I include myself in this list.
Great weekend.... too short.... Here's to the next one!

The pool of life
I can confirm that Darren was absolutely battered, and we all were in fact, it was just that Darren managed this achievement a few hours before anyone else....
Hello to the Bronte Boys, where are the blogs?
Matt

Matthew
Many thanks for this. I would like to think that I set the tone (and the pace) for the rest of the evening. And at least I felt fine by the following afternoon......
