After a reasonable night's sleep, I woke up with a lump on the back of my head and a bruise on my upper arm after my feinting episode last night. Other than those tender spots, I am feeling fine, so hopefully there won’t be a repeat.

We headed to Las Vegas this morning, via Henderson and the Hoover Dam. Although we had seen the dam on our last trip, we decided to take the tour down into the bowels of the dam. Also, in 2010, there was a bridge being built which was nearly finished, so we wanted to check that out. Wow, it is massive. We drove across it before turning off into the Dam and you could not see over the side because of the solid concrete walls (maybe that is a good thing).

There were people walking across the bridge, so we decided to as well. We parked the car and walked up the 50 or so steps to get to the walkway of the bridge. The car temperature said that is was 104 F, so it was quite hot. We both took it easy, as Darryl is still getting better from his cold and I did not want to overdo anything. The view to the dam was spectacular.

We then drove down to the dam and went on the tour of the insides of the dam. Very imformative and interesting to see the large turbines.

We left the dam and it took us only about an hour to get into Vegas. We checked into Hooters (yes, we are staying at Hooters as it was one of the cheapest and the room is not too bad). We got settled and then went down to the bar to have a couple of drinks and dinner.

We are having an early night tonight, but are here for another 3 nights, so will check out more of the sights then.
