NOTE:  All of these photos were taken with my new camera. I am still learning, but I think that they are OK.

We still had our bus tour tickets from yesterday and decided to go on the trip over the Golden Gate Bridge and back. It was really cold on the top of the bus, but the views were spectacular. When we got back to town, there was a Chinese Music Festival happening in Union Square and the colour was amazing.

We hopped back on the tour bus and went back to Fishermans Wharf and had lunch at the Hard Rock Café. Darryl was starting to feel a bit sick (I think it was the cold from the bus trip), so decided to go back to the unit. I on the other hand, wanted to see Lombard Street (the world's most crookedest street). I decided to catch the cable car up the hill to the start of Lombard Street, but the line of people was huge, so I decided to walk! Oh my god. It was a 4 block walk uphill and when I say uphill, I mean UPHILL! I can tell you, that my calves have had a good stretch.

I finally made it to the top (with only a couple of rests along the way) and then started the walk down The Crookedest street. There are 253 steps on the left side and 249 on the right side. There are 8 switchbacks and 2000 blue and purple hydrangeas.

I walked down the right side, back up the left side and then walked down the other side of Lombard Street back to our unit, which was only 3 blocks going down and a lot easier. I think I will pay for this tomorrow, as this has been the first real workout I have had on this trip.

Going down Lombard, there were blocks and blocks of cars waiting to drive down the crooked street. You can only enter it from one way, so there was a massive line up.

I am back at the unit now, cooling off after my work out, writing this blog, with the soft sound of snoring in the background. We are leaving San Francisco tomorrow for warmer pastures.
