Today we decided to head to a place called Old Harry Rocks at Studland Bay and caught the ferry over. It cost us 3.50 and it took us no more 5 minutes to get to the other side. The ferry was chain driven, chain either side and under the water.

After we got off, we drove to Studland Bay, parked the car and only paid for 1 hour parking, thinking that Old Harry Rocks were close to where the car park was. I decided not to put on my sandshoes and just had on my thongs. We started walking and walking and walking. My thongs started to give me blisters, so I took them off and walked on the soft grass when I could. It took us about 25 minutes to walk out to Old Harry Rocks and had a look around. Amazing views and NO safety rail.

We then started the long, long walk back to the car. We were a bit concerned as it was more than an hour since we left, but the area was quiet, so we thought that we would be OK and miss out on a fine.

My blisters were hurting, so decided to put on a pair of socks, that I had in my bag. Fitted right in with the poms, socks with thongs, hahaha. That was enough to get me back to the car, where I then put on my sandshoes.

We decided to go back to Bournemouth via Wareham and had lunch at The Old Granary, which was really relaxing. We then went for a little walk around the town and as Darryl had a few drinks, I was the one who had to drive back. This was the first time I had driven here, so was a little wary, but managed OK, just missed two turns, one at a roundabout and ended up going straight through. Bloody roundabouts, they are everywhere.

We got back to our hotel and parked the car and then went for a walk on the pier at Bournemouth, which cost us 60p to walk on the pier, each. We went into the Arcade on the pier and found a coin drop machine. I thought that they were only an iPhone game, but they are real. We had a bit of a play and Darryl tried to win me a I love Bournemouth bear on the claw game, but dipped out. We then found a pub and had a couple of drinks and dinner.

Now sitting on the deck at our hotel, doing this blog. Tomorrow, we head to Southampton via Stone Henge, as we missed it on the way down.
