We decided to book a tour into the Mekong Delta for our last 3 days in Vietnam culminating with a river crossing from Chau Doc to Phnomh Penh in Cambodia. To be honest, the tour proved to be abit of a disappointment - mostly because we've got used to doing things on our own and having the flexibility to change our minds if we don't like something, etc. The problem with this tour is that we didn't do half the things that the itinerary said we would - BOOOOO! Inspite of this, the Mekong Delta is a great part of Vietnam with really friendly people. The floating markets are not the same as what you might see in Thailand and are more wholesale which makes them not as colourful or energetic and I guess the scenery gets pretty similar as well! Basically if we were to do this again I think we'd do it off our own backs so we could pick and choose what we wanted to do!

The border crossing via Chau Doc though was very relaxed and would strongly recommend this as a way to enter Cambodia! Both abit sad to leave Vietnam but very excited for our next adventure - into Cambodia!!!
