The last full day of my odyssey was, as so many boxing days around the world, for hanging out with friends, relaxing, eating, drinking and having fun.

After a Skype with Mummy and the gang we were off to Cile's new abode, a place next to the old post office, which they will use until their new house is ready to move into.

Cile and Hans were our host and other friends of Oma also attended.
Wim and Steve, Oma uses them for comfort, culture and courier service to schiphol.
Anneroos, without her lovely daughter Rosemarijn, is a former colleague and now close buddie.
Hans Hoedemaker, friend of Hans the host and also known bij Oma at the open university (Vu).

All brought some food of their own, home-made tomato soup and French vineyard snails, crackers with smoked salmon mixture and a special mexican corn chip creation, artichocke quiche, breads, and two specially home made Christmas puddings with brandy butter and cream. I didn't eat anything but saw that the others enjoyed themselves.

We came home just after 6pm, I had a shower and papa packed the last remaining items. Tomorrow we will rise at 5:30 for a 6:30 trip to Schiphol. We are delighted that Wim will drive us as the amount of bags would not have fitted in Oma's little carretje. We are even more delighted that Lidy and Erik are coming to see us off. Just wonderful, and I can give her the Christmas present we brought for her.

Europe has been really fun and I loved the temperature and enjoyed seeing all the family and friends.
