Today we had nothing on so I relaxed and as the weather was terrible, as I could tell when papa came home from his morning stroll dripping wet, I was glad that I had stayed in bed till noon. Suddenly the sky became clear, so I dressed and went shopping. We visited the same stores as we had a few days ago and also a few more but in a strange way we ended up at a formal dress store which we could see from our hotel room.

The display in the window was nice but mainly wedding dresses, bit early for that. The shop's owner was having a snack behind the counter and excused herself we didn't mind as we wanted to browse. Prices were high so papa wanted to leave, but suddenly I had seen what I wanted so I said: "I want that one".

Papa asked in French about the price and it was way too high, the lady responded in perfect English and I asked if I could try it on. From here it all went very fast, the mannequin was stripped and we were told we would get a new one, this was just for trying on. A tailor appeared to take adjustments, high heeled shoes appeared, and there I was I felt happy and very special.

I loved it! I really loved it and it suited me too. Some negotiating was done and we managed to get a fair price. With the money from my grandparents and parents I was now the proud owner of a Parisian formal dress. We had to come back at six for a fitting and so we had a few hours to kill. We decided to go back to the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre. As it happened mass was being held at 3 in the Basilica and it was magical with the singing of the congregation. Afterwards we wondered Montmartre but I had only the dress on my mind. At six we went back to the store and fitted the dress and I was happy the tailor had done a really good job in only 4 hours. We took it home and started to pack. I am excited for London but have to say that Paris is my favourite big city so far.
