Visited Ragusa, Marina de Ragusa and drove through miles of tomatoe farms along the Mediterranean. The tomatoes are grown in greenhouses football fields long made of two by fours and plastic sheeting. Then we drove through miles of grape vines before arriving at our hotel in AgrigentoBaio. The hotel is beautiful. It overlooks both the sea and the Valley of the Temples.

Don't usually choose to eat at hotel restaurants, but couldn't pass up the view at sunset to be somewhere else. The choice was perfect, this chef is fabulous. Had calamari with lemon and olive oil as a primo and went with the chef's suggestion of lamb for dinner, it was perfect in a wine reduction sauce. The accompanying scalloped potatoes were the best I ever had. They had a mild flavor of rosemary, but I couldn't see any so they must have had the rose mary in the parboiling water.

Visited the Valley of the Temples and the archeological museum today. Love all the history.
