We arrived safe and sound in Motpellier last night. Lucky for us the hotel was 150m from the train station. Anyway, we were pleasantly surprised with accommodation....a two star hotel with a double bed and our own bathroom...pure luxury if we try and compare it to the shared facilities at most hostels.

Today we walk up refreshed and recharged and did a very quick whislestop tour of Montpellier. The city is quite lovely and as lots of new facilities like tram networks and public squares. They also say that Montpellier is the fastest growing city in France.

One thing that I didn't get to see was the rugby stadium.......considering this was a Rugby World Cup venue...it would have been nice to see but as always time just does not permit.

Catching the train across the French Riviera today and then overnight to Rome.
