The firs thing to hit you when you arrive in Sao Paulo from the tube is the amount of homeless people. Sao Paulo was exactly what we expected it to be busy, big, loud,noisey, smokey and there wasn´t a good odour in the air. Once we found our accomodation the day light was leaving the sky so we were a little bit weary of being out a night as it was not advised by anyone we spoke to or read about. We therefore did a quick walk around a few of the blocks and returned to the hostel for dinner. We went out shopping the next day and of course I found a the biggest shoe shop EVER! I was only allowed to buy 2 pairs but I had to throw out 1 pair I already had so I could carry them ha! Sao Paulo all in all was a busy and intimidating city, with a population of 20 million or so and it wasn´t a place where we wanting to stay long and it was dififcult to sleep, It was a cheap and good place to shop though. Plus I am proud that I used the metro in such a place.
