Yesterday, David and I took the fast ferry from Santorini to Crete. We spent our last day on Santorini Island relaxing on our favourite "black stone" beach. We (sadly) packed our things and our very kind hotel hosts drove us to the main port on Santorini Island.

We left early for the port because they were afraid that we might get caught in traffic -- the road to the port is down a very steepe and windy road that is for one way traffic esp. when a ferry arrives in the port. So, we had an hour and a half to spend at the port before our ferry arrived. We relaxed at a pub by having a beer (D) and a milkshake (V - Yes! I think I'm over my lactose intollerance) and then we shared a big Chocolate sunday.

We are staying at the Hotel Irini on Crete Island. It's walking distance from the new port. www.irini-hotel.com We will spend today exploring the city and checking out the archaeological museum.

David has arranged for us to stay at the
Ramada Tour Eiffel

We will be in Paris for 4 evenings and then we fly home to Ottawa on Thursday, June 22nd (where did the time go?!!!)

Hugs,

Veronica and David
