This is a simply beautiful state. Today I have ridden the cascade lakes scenic byway.

Hundreds of lakes cross crossed with trails and roads.

All open and free to use. Some with speed restrictions and some unlimited so at one lake it will be totally silent where electric motors are only allowed to power boats and the next the roar of an open exhaust tuned V8 splits the air at 50mph.

The plan was to stay in Oakridge tonight as that is the name of Mum and Dad's house but it wasn't pretty so headed straight for Eugene where I am flying home from.

Walking through Downtown Eugene is like being transported back to the sixties. Not in the architecture but the people.

There are some proper oddballs here.

Half dressed girls wandering around chanting.

Guys that last saw a bath when Clinton was in power walking around playing banjo.

I saw two fully blown tramps begging whilst working on their laptops sitting on the floor at a street corner.

I asked directions from a guy to a brewery I had been recommended to and he propositioned me and asked if I wanted to come out with him tonight.

Everyone under 30 seems to not be in possession of a pair of shoes.

I mean some of these people are more weird than Lynn.

I am stuck here for three days. If anyone has any bright ideas for what I should do, please let me know.

Buckingham Palace is looking more attractive all the time.

I was out there last year. Stayed downtown Portland.
I liked the Evergreen Air and Space museum. They have an SR-71 Blackbird to view. I stopped there on the way to Tillamook and Cape Lookout, just driving along the coastline. Really liked watching for Whales.

Have you thought about riding up to see Mt. Ranier & Mt Saint Helens ?
Hit the resturant in Mt. Rainer National park.

I never get crossword clue Harby but well done to you.

Good spot Lali, I am off there now. Thanks for that this place is dire.

Hi Allen, I have to head home to see The Queen on Sunday early so am stuck here. I have seen a lot of Oregon and love it. Not sure what I will be doing on my return though but that for the tip
