What a varied state

Sod this, I didn't come all this way to see fog. The thought of that combined with the cold wind led me east.
I remember Bill saying that Oregon has the weirdest weather on the coast so I thought I would head inland. I have to stay close enough to Eugene to get home but given we finished the TAT ridiculously early I am just tooling around to please myself.
I thought surely if I head 100 miles or so inland the weather will improve so East it is.
Dressed in everything I own, I was off
What a great state Oregon is. 40 odd miles in and I was riding through rolling farmland. With more variety of green stuff growing than I had ever seen. Vineyards everywhere (why are the called wineries?) fruit of all shapes and sizes, from apples to blueberries. Farms cultivating small tress for sale. You name it. It is like natures hand basket (is that the correct saying?).
With this variety comes obviously wealth, it is a prosperous area. I am talking real money, maybe 5 or 6 dirt bikes each kind of wealth.
i put a pin in the map this morning at Detroit. What the hell, I've always like cars and never been.
By the way, thank you very much for all the kind words about the blog and for the many emails suggesting I should write a book
Well in case you hadn't noticed I have been.
You have been reading it and with copyright laws forming a contract between us that my top London Barrister of a daughter will enforce, all I have to do on my return is work out the cost of this trip add a small margin for my talents, divide that by the number of subscribers (yes I know who you all are) send the invoices out and Robert is my Father's brother. Job's a good'un. Trip paid for.
Many thanks to you all for sponsoring me.
