Slack with the blogging recently. We have been enjoying the French countryside too much. Im just going to amalgamate the things we have done in the last few days into one post. We have visited both Begerac and Perigeaux which are the two largest towns in the area with around 30,000 and 35,000 people respectively.

We had more awesome food. On that note, duck is everywhere in this region. Its like chicken and duck are reversed to what they are in Australia. Pretty much every restaurant we have visited in the Perigord/Dordogne region have at least 4 or 5 duck dishes, a few lamb/ beef and other dishes and then thats it. We have seen chicken on the menu at only a few of the restaurants. I guess with all the Foie Gras they make, there is alot of duck meat left over, so it makes sense.

We also hired bikes for three days and have been doing some afternoon cycling around the countryside of Campsegret. That has been great cycling through the quiet roads and tree lined canopies as wells as some fire trail cycling which was bumpy but great fun. Those bike seats werent the most comfortable thing in the world though.

So we have basically spent the last few days exploring the areas around Campsegret and just relaxing on the property with Patrick, Els & Lambert. Patrick is a hairdresser by trade and Mim ,anaged to get a haircut and collour in the garden on the last day of our stay there. So she has all nice and new hair for when we arrive back in Sydney!

We head off on the train to Paris tomorrow via Bordeaux, then one more day in Paris before we fly out.
