I saw a dolphin!

Oh, I was supposed to lead up to that, but I was so excited I just blurted it out. Ah well, what's done is done. A dolphin was swimming out in the bay this morning in front of the motel I work at and so Bill and Lee and I ventured out for a gander. We also thought we saw some seals or sea lions, but the black blobs we saw just turned out to be blobs of seaweed washed out from the shore. So, a dolphin for the final score, which isn't too bad.

So far on this trip, we've seen plenty of aquatic life from our diving/snorkelling expeditions, which we've already written about, (see the entry entitled 'The Rum Runner') and so I won't go over those again today. I basically just wanted to tell everyone I saw a dolphin. No picture though, so I guess you're just going to have to take my word for it.

We're going to Tasmania in a few weeks and we're hoping to see some Tasmanian Devils and some quolls, we'll let you know how that goes. Bye!

Max on

I cannot wait to hear about Tasmania. That was one (of many) places we did not get to see while we were there.

Oh and seeing the dolphin was pretty cool too. BTW it just turned cold today in Ottawa. Heading down to -20. Only good news about that is it sounds like it will be cold enough for long enough to get the canal open. Time to get the skates sharpened.
