About 40 miles North of Sedona is the town of Flagstaff.
In the nearby foothills lies the famous Observatory of   Percival Lowell.   In this place was discovered the planet   Pluto by  Clyde Tombaugh in 1930. Scientific work still continues on this site almost a hundred years after it's conception by Lowell.

Hi Dave, we are following your progress every day and I have to say like many others that your pictures are awesome and please keep them coming.
Wishing you a safe onward trip and a safe return to your home base here at Sleap.

Ron. Thank you for following, and your kind words.
I'm now expected to stay in Sedona untill Sunday. What was expected to be a two night stop has been adjusted slightly !
There is so much to see here, and it would be a shame to miss out on what will probably be a one off oppotunity.
I,ve made full use of the car and have many photos to download later. At this rate someone might offer me a job at National Geographic.! Just put fuel in the Cirrus and pay my Hotel bills and I'll work for free !
I must go now for dinner. I have a table booked at the "Hitchen Post Restaurant", and I mus'nt be late for ma vitels!

Hello Captain Bowie, Smiffy here. you are realy having a time of your life by the sounds of it. How is the plane doing. Bet you will not want to come back to England. We had terrible rain here yesterday in Ellesmere flooded every where. Me and Paul Tench are about to leave for Gozo soon, nothing like your adventure but hey a trip is a trip. Biggest diffrence with us, we have to be taken by Ryanair. You take care mate and look after yourself. Good luck Smiffy.

Hi Dave just back from Spain fed up of the stupid fanfare Ryanair play when the plane touches down. I would much rather have been in the right hand seat of the Cirrus !! Hey I can dream can't I.
Sedona looks an interesting stop with lots to see and do , I think weight could be a factor later on in the trip with all the steaks you are eating !!
Will continue to follow with envy.
Take care and stay safe

Dave, I play a silent fanfare on every landing also. I'm always pleased to be on the ground .
My weight, strangely enough has reduced ! It must be something to do with all this tourism. Or perhaps I've just learned to pick the smallest thing on the menu.

Hi Dave sounds like it is all still going to plan. Paul Tench and me had a great time in Gozo. We did look for you at Mata airport but alas you were no where to been seen. Keep it going mate, safe flying. Smiffy.
