I had hoped to move on today (Wed) However, once again the weather is very marginal for a 600 plus sea crossing. What was forecast two days ago has changed. My destination of Goose Bay (CYYR) was forecasting up to 50 kt gusts at my expected arrival time. Nevertheless a 30-40kt headwind was on the cards. So rather than risk an error (not in my favor) which could have reduced my reserves I decided to stay on here.
The weather for Thursday looks a non starter, so it looks more like Friday ! There is no doubt that this has tested my patients to the limit. Much effort has to be exercised to resist the effects of "get there-itis"
I shall therefore,  enjoy the specialty of the house at dinner, which this evening is Elk Steak with seasonal vegetables !  I shall resist the reindeer sirloin, as I have a fond childhood memory of "Rudolf" and "Blitzen".

The Elk Steak with seasonal vegetables sounds very tasty as does the reindeer sirloin. They could appear on the Thursday night menu at Sleap with a little luck. Safe flying; we are all green with envy!

Dear Dave,
Why don't you have a steak for me! I sure would..... Anyhow I hope the rest of the journey goes well for you, the scenery looks spectacular !!!
Cheers,
Brendan.

Elk Steak: I can understand that.
Seasonal vegetables: in that part of the world presumably that's moss and lichen.
Glad it's all is going well when you actually get to move on. Hope the weather (both forecast and actual) improves.

Dave glad to see you arrived safely in Greenland the photographs of the ice cap are AAAAAwesome!!
I was rather suprised to see you had settled for the Elk steak for your evening meal to-night, not only increasing your carbon footprint but now you are contributing to the demise of the poor old Moose, shame on you David !!

God knows what you will be eating when you get to Labrador !!

Stay safe and take care

Pleased to see you've made it to Canada, Dave. Best of luck and happy flying.
