Our flight got in today and we took a cab from the beautiful new international airport to our hotel; New Siam Guest House.  The location seems to be perfect, and even after Ethiopia for a week, everything still seems incredibly cheap.  Our first meal was in the guest house's restaurant and at $2 per main dish it was a bit of a splurge.  We walked all around the area, and it is amazing how many backpackers there are, and how much this area (khoasan rd) caters to them.

At one point a woman bumped into Amy and then said "slecha" (Hebrew equivalent of "excuse me") and then in Hebrew her friend said: "she doesn't speak Hebrew" and the girl replied to her friend "I forget that not everyone speaks Hebrew here."  Little did she know that Amy understood the entire exchange. We have identified more Israelis than Americans.

We were just about to go find some street food for dinner when a torrential downpour complete with thunder materialized, so we decided to try and wait it out on the computers near the exit of our guest-house.  The internet here is just as fast as it would be with a high-speed connection back in the states.  We should get pictures up of Ethiopia within the next day or so.

Thats all for now.  We will be in bangkok until the 13th when we leave for Hanoi.
